In my Stress Management class we were talking about the neurological process of a stress response.
When an individual is under stress their memory can be affected. One way to encourage memory is to start by trying to recall small memories. These small memories may increase memory to the point of recollecting huge events that have happened.
In the news lately, there have been many reports of house fires, apartment fires, and wild fires. When watching the news the other day, the news reported concluded the coverage with something like this, " at this time, firefighters have not determine the cause of fire." For some reason, I couldn't help but be puzzled with the idea of how the firefighters would determine the cause of the fire, in the midst of ashes and rubble… but some how they'll be able to discover the reason.
In a reflective state, I started to think about those areas in my life that I desire to be BIG. Then I remembered that most fires are started by a spark, or the flicker of small flame. My mom always reminds me; before anyone became an adult, they were a baby at some point.
I am at a place where I must accept this stage that seems small, right now, being confident that where and what I desire to be will soon arrive in its maturity and glory.
